The encampment near Lafayette St.

Saturday, January 4 at 8am

Eastwick Auditorium (here at First Pres)

This breakfast is in partnership with Lower Providence Presbyterian, and we will host again, which we also did in September. Our own Art Cobb will cook a hot breakfast, served here in Eastwick, and free parking is available in the jurors' lot.

Mike Kingsley (Code Blue shelter director for the Hospitality Center) will briefly speak on the situation and needs of the unhoused here in the borough, and then we will walk or drive down to an encampment just a few blocks from us at 198 E. Lafayette St. Norristown to deliver coffee and pray with some of the residents there. Pastor Martin has visited there several times, Mike will be with us, and it is totally safe. That visit will probably go a little past 9am but folks can leave when they want. Cost of breakfast is still $10, mostly to cover the cost of the coffee.

Please contact the office at First Pres (610.272.1357 or firstpres.norristown@gmail.com) to sign up.

A BIG THANK YOU to the First Pres congregation for your support for Operation Christmas Child by sending 27 filled shoeboxes to children around the world. The children will receive the boxes and lessons about the birth and life of Jesus. Please continue to support this mission with prayer.
